Piston Service Kit with LoadMaster Seals for Parker HMI & HMD Series Tie Rod Cylinders

    Product Overview

This genuine OEM piston service kit equipped with Parker proprietary LoadMaster high-performance seals is specially engineered for complete overhaul of HMI and HMD heavy-duty tie rod hydraulic cylinders. Unlike standard NBR seal kits for light general use, the LoadMaster seal variant is designed to withstand heavy side loads, frequent pressure spikes, extended cycle times and harsher industrial working environments, fully restoring the original thrust output, low internal leakage and long service life of HMI/HMD tie rod cylinders after component wear, fluid contamination or thermal aging.
HMI and HMD are Parker’s medium-to-heavy duty tie rod cylinder platforms widely deployed in manufacturing, material handling and metal forming. The LoadMaster piston service kit serves as the premium factory maintenance solution for high-cycle, high-load operations where standard-grade seals fail prematurely.
Q: What’s the MOQ of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.

Q:What’s the lead time of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A:  Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.

Q: Are you the manufacturer of hydrualic cylinder?

A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.

Q: What is the difference between double acting and single acting cylinders?own controlled by the pump or the valve or is it only one speed?

A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through

a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.

Q: I have a drawing, could you customized cylinder as my drawing?

A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.

Q: Could you make the cylinder which is not on the above data sheet?

A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.

    1.  Superior Heavy Side Load Resistance

HMI and HMD tie rod cylinders frequently operate with offset radial loads from lifting, stamping and clamping equipment. LoadMaster composite seals resist twisting, lip roll and premature wear that quickly damages single-layer standard NBR piston seals under unbalanced loads.

    2. Extended Service Life for High-Cycle Operations

The bonded PTFE sliding surface cuts dynamic friction by over 40% versus standard lip seals, reducing heat buildup and seal fatigue for continuous 24/7 production line cycling. Maintenance downtime and seal replacement frequency are greatly reduced.

    3. Wider Thermal Operating Window

LoadMaster HNBR composite construction tolerates higher sustained fluid temperatures, eliminating softening, permanent set or leakage that plagues standard NBR seals in warm hydraulic circuits.

    4. Minimal Cross-Chamber Internal Leakage

Precision-machined bidirectional sealing lips maintain consistent zero bypass between cylinder chambers under fluctuating pressure, preserving precise positioning and stable thrust output for heavy-load automation.

    5. Enhanced Anti-Extrusion Performance

Integrated reinforcement edges paired with heavy-duty PEEK backup rings prevent seal extrusion at groove clearances during system startup pressure surges common in industrial hydraulic circuits.

    Core LoadMaster Composite Seal Construction

LoadMaster seals feature a multi-layer composite structure: a tough high-temperature HNBR elastomer base bonded to a low-friction filled PTFE sliding wear face, integrated with anti-extrusion edge reinforcement, a proprietary Parker formulation exclusive to heavy-duty tie rod cylinder service kits.

    1. Fluid Compatibility

Compatible with mineral hydraulic oil, water-glycol, mild synthetic hydraulic fluids, general greases and compressed air. Superior resistance to oil aging, oxidation and minor fluid contamination compared to standard NBR seals. For extreme chemical media, FKM LoadMaster upgrade kits are available separately.

    2. Operating Temperature Range

    Continuous operating range: -30°C to +110°C (-22°F ~ +230°F), far wider than standard NBR seal kits (-23°C ~ +74°C)

    3. Pressure & Load Rating

Max continuous working pressure: 210 bar (3045 psi), matching HMI/HMD cylinder nominal rating; instantaneous peak pressure tolerance up to 315 bar (4568 psi with supplied PEEK backup rings). The LoadMaster sliding face drastically reduces friction heat under sustained heavy side loads, the primary failure cause of standard seals in tie rod cylinder applications.

    4. Hardness & Wear Resistance

Base elastomer Shore A 88, balancing flexibility for sealing and abrasion resistance for millions of reciprocating cycles. The PTFE sliding layer eliminates metal scuffing and drastically extends service intervals.
