Piston Seal Kits for Parker HD Series Hydraulic Cylinders
Product Overview
Piston seal kits are OEM matched dynamic sealing repair assemblies exclusively engineered for Parker HD mill-type heavy-duty tie rod hydraulic cylinders, covering all standard and legacy HDC models.
Installed on the piston outer diameter inside the cylinder barrel, piston seals act as the critical internal partition between the rod chamber and cap chamber. Unlike static cylinder body CB seal kits or rod gland RG seal kits, piston seals bear continuous reciprocating friction and full system pressure during cylinder extension and retraction. These kits are designed to endure heavy shock loads, long-hour continuous operation and contaminated metallurgical working environments.
A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.
A: Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.
A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.
A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through
a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.
A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.
A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.
- Block internal cross-leakage between two cylinder chambers
The piston seal fully isolates pressure oil on both sides of the piston. Internal bypass leakage caused by worn piston seals leads to slow cylinder movement, insufficient thrust and unstable speed.
- Resist high-pressure extrusion damage
Dual-side backup rings prevent the main seal from being squeezed into the clearance between piston and barrel under peak pressure and impact loads, greatly extending seal service life.
- Reduce abrasive wear of cylinder barrel
Guide wear rings bear radial side loads during reciprocation, protecting the smooth inner surface of the cylinder tube from scratches and metal scuffing.
- Maintain stable cylinder output performance
Complete sealing keeps the internal pressure chamber closed, ensuring consistent clamping force, lifting power and precise positioning for mill-type heavy-load actuators.
- Remove burrs, metal chips and residual old seal debris from piston seal grooves before assembly.
- Lubricate all sealing elements and wear bands with compatible hydraulic fluid to avoid seal twisting or cutting during installation.
- Mount backup rings on both high-pressure sides of the main piston seal for 210 bar to 350 bar high-pressure service.
- Inspect cylinder barrel inner surface for scratches; replace damaged barrel if deep abrasions exist to avoid rapid new seal failure.
- For full cylinder overhaul, replace piston seal kits, rod gland kits and cylinder body seal kits together to avoid staggered sealing failures in harsh metallurgical environments.
