Product Introduction of ROEMHELD B1.5401 Built-In Hydraulic Cylinder Elements

    Product Overview

The ROEMHELD B1.5401 consists of double-acting built-in hydraulic cylinder elements (piston assembly + threaded lock bushing complete with sealing sets), rated for a maximum operating pressure of 500 bar.

Unlike standard pre-assembled block cylinders with finished housings, B1.5401 is designed to be directly embedded and installed inside custom-machined fixture bodies. Users machine mounting bores and internal hydraulic oil passages within the tooling, then fit the piston and screw in the threaded retaining bushing to form a complete hydraulic cylinder. The finished unit can perform both pushing and pulling clamping movements.

This modular embedded design saves valuable machining space on fixtures. It eliminates bulky external cylinder housings that obstruct chip evacuation and interfere with workpiece machining paths. The piston rod adopts a two-stage low-leakage sealing system with an integrated rod wiper to block coolant, metal chips and contaminants. An O-ring plus back-up ring combination seals the threaded bushing interface against leakage. The threaded bushing is tightened flush into the fixture body using a pin face spanner.

No built-in position sensor grooves or sensor interfaces are provided.

Q: What’s the MOQ of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.

Q:What’s the lead time of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A:  Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.

Q: Are you the manufacturer of hydrualic cylinder?

A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.

Q: What is the difference between double acting and single acting cylinders?own controlled by the pump or the valve or is it only one speed?

A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through

a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.

Q: I have a drawing, could you customized cylinder as my drawing?

A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.

Q: Could you make the cylinder which is not on the above data sheet?

A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.

    Fully Embedded Compact Layout

No external cylinder housing. All components are installed inside the fixture body, maximizing available machining space and improving chip removal. Ideal for densely arranged multi-point clamping layouts.

    Integrated Low-Leakage Sealing Package

Two independent rod sealing stages achieve minimal internal leakage. The external rod wiper prevents contamination ingress, and the O-ring/back-up ring combination reliably seals the threaded bushing mounting interface.

    Bidirectional Push & Pull Function

Double-acting design enables controllable clamping force in both extension and retraction directions, supporting both push-type clamping and pull-type workpiece retention.

    Flexible Custom Fixture Integration

Customers freely define oil passage routing inside the fixture body. No external hose connections are required, reducing leakage points and simplifying fixture surface layout.

    Flush Mounted Threaded Bushing

The retaining bushing installs flush with the fixture surface, avoiding protruding structures that risk collision with cutting tools or workpieces. Assembly is completed via standard pin-type face spanner.
