Product Introduction of ROEMHELD Block Hydraulic Cylinder B1.554
Product Overview
The ROEMHELD B1.554 is a double-acting block hydraulic cylinder, available in two housing variants: lightweight aluminium housing rated for 350 bar, and bronze housing for heavy-duty operation up to 500 bar.
The piston is fitted with an integrated permanent magnet. Continuous dovetail guide grooves are machined on both lateral surfaces of the block, enabling magnetic sensors to slide freely and be positioned at any point along the full stroke. This allows flexible detection of intermediate positions, not only stroke end positions.
A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.
A: Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.
A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.
A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through
a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.
A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.
A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.

Freely Adjustable Magnetic Position Detection
Long continuous dovetail slots allow magnetic sensors to slide anywhere over the entire stroke. Users can set trigger points for intermediate positions, rather than only clamped/unclamped end positions. Sensors can be installed on either side of the block to suit fixture layout constraints.
Two Housing Material Options
- Aluminium housing (350 bar): Lightweight, cost-effective for medium-load clamping applications.
- Bronze housing (500 bar): Higher pressure rating, excellent corrosion resistance for environments with heavy coolant mist and humid workshop atmosphere.
Bidirectional Hydraulic Actuation
Extension and retraction are fully hydraulically powered, independent of return springs. It delivers consistent cycle timing and stable movement speed, and can generate both clamping push force and pulling force for complex automated fixture sequences.
Two Flexible Hydraulic Connection Configurations
- B version (threaded side port): Direct hose connection, suitable for fixture retrofitting and standalone cylinder arrangement.
- K/L version (manifold mounting): Flush installation onto hydraulic manifold blocks, creating tidy concealed oil circuits for compact multi-station modular fixtures.
Reliable Magnetic Signal Transmission
Non-magnetic block housing avoids magnetic shielding. The permanent magnet on the piston can reliably activate external magnetic sensors without signal loss, unlike conventional steel block cylinders.
