Product Introduction of ROEMHELD Block Hydraulic Cylinder B1.738
Product Overview
Two housing material options are available: steel version with max. extending pressure 500 bar, and lightweight aluminium housing rated for 350 bar. The retracting pressure for all variants is limited to 350 bar.
Three base cylinder configurations can be combined with the guide housing:
- Basic block cylinder (B1.5094) without position monitoring
- Through piston rod cylinder (B1.552) for rear-mounted inductive proximity sensors
- Magnetic piston cylinder (B1.554, aluminium housing) with sliding magnetic sensors in dovetail grooves
Hydraulic ports can be arranged on either left or right side of the block to simplify fixture layout.
A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.
A: Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.
A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.
A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through
a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.
A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.
A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.

- Standard Stroke Range: 20 / 32 / 40 / 50 / 63 mm
- Mounting Form: Rectangular block with separate front guide housing assembly
- Hydraulic Connection: Threaded side port (standard); manifold mounting optional
- Position Monitoring: Optional, compatible with inductive proximity sensors or sliding magnetic sensors
- Standard Sealing: NBR (-20 °C ~ +80 °C)
- Optional Sealing: FKM/Viton high-temperature chemical-resistant seals (-20 °C ~ +120 °C)
- Structural Feature: Separated force & guide system; hardened sliding bolt inside guide housing
Separated Force and Guidance System
The hydraulic piston rod only transmits axial force; all lateral loads and torques are absorbed by the external guide housing and hardened clamping bolt. This prevents seal damage and piston jamming caused by side forces, greatly extending cylinder service life.
Two Housing Material Selections
- Steel housing: High pressure rating up to 500 bar, suitable for heavy clamping loads.
- Aluminium housing: Lightweight, cost-effective for medium-load automation tooling.
Flexible Position Monitoring Options
Customers can select three different base cylinder modules to match sensor requirements: no monitoring, rear-end inductive detection, or full-stroke adjustable magnetic sensor detection.
Flexible Hydraulic Port Layout
Hydraulic ports can be fitted on the left or right side of the block body, offering greater freedom for compact fixture design.
Robust Dust & Contamination Protection
Built-in wiper seal on the guide housing prevents coolant, metal chips and machining debris from entering the sliding guide interface, ideal for harsh CNC machining environments.
