Product Introduction of ROEMHELD Block Hydraulic Cylinder B1.542

    Product Overview

The ROEMHELD B1.542 is a single-acting, spring-return block plunger hydraulic cylinder, rated for a maximum operating pressure of 500 bar. It features a plunger structure without an extended piston rod, designed for embedded mounting inside fixture plates and clamping bars.
Hydraulic pressure pushes the flat plunger forward for workpiece support and anti-chatter backing. After pressure release, the integrated heavy-duty compression spring automatically retracts the plunger. The block housing reserves mounting interfaces for optional high-pressure proximity sensors to monitor the extended plunger position. Two hydraulic connection variants are available: threaded side port version for direct hose connection and manifold mounting version with O-ring sealing for modular hydraulic blocks. Equipped with a robust wiper barrier, it effectively blocks cutting fluid and metal chips, delivering low leakage and long service life under continuous CNC machining conditions.
Q: What’s the MOQ of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.

Q:What’s the lead time of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A:  Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.

Q: Are you the manufacturer of hydrualic cylinder?

A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.

Q: What is the difference between double acting and single acting cylinders?own controlled by the pump or the valve or is it only one speed?

A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through

a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.

Q: I have a drawing, could you customized cylinder as my drawing?

A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.

Q: Could you make the cylinder which is not on the above data sheet?

A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.

Flat Plunger for Direct Workpiece Support

The flat plunger surface acts directly as a contact face, eliminating the need for separate contact bolts. Optimized for anti-vibration backing of thin-walled and thin-plate workpieces to suppress machining chatter and deflection.

    Short-Stroke Stabilized Backing Function

Limited travel prevents excessive workpiece displacement. Perfect for auxiliary support in milling, drilling and grinding processes where rigid static backing is required.

    Dual Hydraulic Connection Configurations

    • B version (threaded side port): Direct hose connection, convenient for fixture retrofitting and independent arrangement.
    • K version (manifold mounting): Flush installation onto hydraulic blocks for neat, compact modular fixture circuits.

    Optional Position Detection Capability

Sensor mounting interface allows fitment of high-pressure proximity switches to confirm whether the plunger is extended and supporting the workpiece, enabling safety interlock logic for automated production.

    Reliable Anti-Contamination Protection

Built-in wiper and plunger barrier stop coolant and metal swarf from entering the internal spring chamber, reducing seal wear and extending service life in harsh continuous machining environments.
