Piston Service Kit – Standard Seals for Parker HMI & HMD Series Tie Rod Cylinders

    Product Overview

This genuine Parker piston service kit with standard seals is purpose-built for full overhaul maintenance of Parker HMI and HMD heavy-duty tie rod hydraulic cylinders. All sealing, wear and anti-extrusion components inside each kit are factory-sized to match the original internal groove dimensions of HMI / HMD tie rod cylinders, restoring cylinder sealing performance, load stability and positioning accuracy back to OEM factory standards after wear, aging or fluid contamination.
HMI and HMD are Parker’s mainstream industrial tie rod cylinder ranges for medium & heavy-duty hydraulic applications. The standard seal service kit serves as the default routine maintenance solution for units running with conventional mineral hydraulic oil under moderate temperature and pressure working conditions.
Q: What’s the MOQ of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.

Q:What’s the lead time of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A:  Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.

Q: Are you the manufacturer of hydrualic cylinder?

A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.

Q: What is the difference between double acting and single acting cylinders?own controlled by the pump or the valve or is it only one speed?

A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through

a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.

Q: I have a drawing, could you customized cylinder as my drawing?

A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.

Q: Could you make the cylinder which is not on the above data sheet?

A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.

Each complete piston service kit contains all matched components for one single piston assembly of HMI/HMD tie rod cylinder:
    • Bidirectional proprietary U-lip piston seals (standard NBR grade for double-acting tie rod cylinders)
    • NBR static O-rings for auxiliary piston end sealing
    • Fabric PTFE wear guide rings, designed to bear radial side loads in tie rod cylinder installations
    • High-strength PEEK backup rings to eliminate seal extrusion under system pressure spikes
    • Anti-friction assembly lubricant and official Parker installation manual for tie rod cylinder disassembly & seal replacement
    • Size-matched anti-extrusion support rings customized for HMI/HMD standard piston groove profiles
All parts follow Parker internal dimensional standards and ISO 3601, ISO 27542 sealing norms, achieving 100% direct interchangeability with original cylinder piston components without any machining modification.

Base Standard Sealing Material: Class 1 NBR (Nitrile / Buna-N)

    1.  Fluid Compatibility

Compatible with standard mineral hydraulic oil, dry compressed air, general industrial grease and water-glycol hydraulic media. Not applicable for phosphate ester fire-resistant oil, ketones, esters, biodiesel and high-temperature synthetic hydraulic fluids. For these harsh media, FKM fluorocarbon high-temperature seal kits are offered as an upgrade alternative.

    2. Operating Temperature Range

    Continuous working range: -23°C to +74°C (-10°F ~ +165°F)

    3. Pressure & Hardness Rating

Standard seal shore hardness A90; maximum continuous working pressure 210 bar (3045 psi). Equipped with matched PEEK backup rings, the instantaneous peak pressure resistance reaches 280 bar (4060 psi), matching the pressure specification of HMI & HMD series tie rod cylinders.

    4. Material Core Traits

Balanced low friction, moderate abrasion resistance and cost efficiency, optimized for general industrial long-cycle operation of tie rod actuators.
