AHP MERKLE HZN / UZN Series Hydraulic Cylinders

    Overview

The HZN and UZN series are sensor-ready round-body hydraulic cylinders from AHP Merkle, designed with integrated sensor grooves for direct mounting of inductive or magnetic position sensors. They are the sensor-equipped variants of the standard HZ / UZ series, retaining compact round construction while adding closed-loop position feedback capability for automation and precision applications.
    • UZN 100: Low-pressure (100 bar) sensor-ready cylinder
    • HZN 160: Medium-pressure (160 bar) sensor-ready cylinder
    • HZN 250: High-pressure (250 bar) sensor-ready cylinder
    • HZHN 250: Enhanced 250 bar sensor-ready cylinder with Dipp® sealing
Q: What’s the MOQ of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.

Q:What’s the lead time of customized tie-rod cylinder?

A:  Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.

Q: Are you the manufacturer of hydrualic cylinder?

A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.

Q: What is the difference between double acting and single acting cylinders?own controlled by the pump or the valve or is it only one speed?

A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through

a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.

Q: I have a drawing, could you customized cylinder as my drawing?

A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.

Q: Could you make the cylinder which is not on the above data sheet?

A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.

    Key Advantages

    • Integrated Sensor Groove: Eliminates external brackets; saves space, reduces installation time, and improves sensor reliability.
    • Compact & Rigid: Short overall length and thick-walled body for high rigidity in tight spaces.
    • Precision Feedback: Direct sensor mounting ensures accurate, repeatable position sensing for automated processes.
    • Media Flexibility (UZN): Works with hydraulic oil or compressed air for dual-media applications.
    • High Pressure (HZN): 160 bar / 250 bar ratings for heavy-duty clamping, pressing, and forming.
    • Easy Maintenance: Modular design; seals and sensors replaceable on-site.

    Typical Applications

    • Automation Lines: Precision positioning, clamping, and material handling with closed-loop feedback.
    • Machine Tools: Workpiece clamping, spindle positioning, and slide drives with sensor confirmation.
    • Mould & Die: Core pulling, ejection, and locking with stroke end detection.
    • Automotive: Welding fixtures, assembly stations, and pressing operations with position verification.
    • Packaging & Handling: Pusher units, lifters, and indexers requiring accurate stroke control.
