Prince Fortress Series Hydraulic Cylinders
The Fortress series is Prince Manufacturing’s heavy-duty welded hydraulic cylinder line, engineered for 3,000 PSI (210 bar) continuous operation and extreme-duty mobile and industrial applications. It is positioned between the standard-duty Royal and the ultra-heavy Gladiator series, focusing on 4.5-inch bore models for robust performance in harsh conditions.
Core Specifications
- Bore Size: 4.5 inches (114.3 mm) (standard; custom bores available)
- Rod Diameter: 2.0 or 2.5 inches (50.8 / 63.5 mm)
- Stroke Length: 12–48 inches (304.8–1219.2 mm) (custom strokes up to 60 inches)
- Rated Pressure: 3,000 PSI (210 bar) continuous; 4,500 PSI (315 bar) burst pressure
- Operation: Double-acting (bidirectional force)
- Mounting Styles: Clevis, cross-tube, flange, or trunnion mounts (standard and custom)
Optional Upgrades
- Cushioning: Adjustable end cushions to reduce impact and noise at stroke limits.
- Position Sensors: Integrated magnetostrictive or Hall-effect sensors for precise stroke feedback.
- Special Coatings: Epoxy or zinc plating for enhanced corrosion resistance in marine/chemical environments.
- Custom Ports: SAE, JIC, or metric port configurations to match system requirements.
A: Depends on the style of tie-rod. We would like to cast and forge once the quantity above 100 pcs.
A: Well, it depends on the quantity and style of hydrualic cylinders, at least 60 days if we make casting and forging, at least 35 days by maching.
A: Sure, we are the manufacutuer and trading of hydraulic cylinder.
A: Double-Acting-have a port at each end, supplied with hydraulic fluid for both the retraction and extension. Single-Acting-hydraulic fluid enters through
a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod by means of area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.
A: Sure. Show us the drawing, we will quote for you soonest.
A: Yes, we make and supply a wide rang of hydrualic cylinders as a proffetional manufacture, there are only some kinds of them show on the website. Freely contact us to get more information.
- Heavy-Duty Welded Body: One-piece steel barrel with robotically welded end caps for maximum strength and leak resistance; no tie rods to bend or loosen.
- Induction-Hardened Piston Rod: Hard chrome-plated (0.001–0.002 in thickness) for superior wear, corrosion, and impact resistance; ideal for dirty, high-abrasion environments.
- Premium Sealing System:
- Urethane U-cup piston seals (high-pressure, leak-free)
- Metal-encased rod wipers (exclude dirt/debris)
- NBR/FKM seal options (for -20°F to 250°F / -29°C to 121°C)
- Honed Barrel Interior: Precision-finished surface (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm) reduces friction, extends seal life, and ensures smooth piston movement.
- Ductile Iron Piston: Precision-machined with wear rings for stability and load distribution; compatible with standard hydraulic fluids (mineral oil, synthetic, biodegradable).
Performance Advantages
- High Force Output: Delivers up to 47,700 lbf (212 kN) push force (4.5-in bore, 3,000 PSI) for heavy lifting, pushing, or clamping.
- Compact & Rugged: Welded design saves space vs. tie-rod cylinders while maintaining structural integrity under shock loads.
- Low Maintenance: Robust sealing and hardened components minimize downtime; field-repairable with standard service kits.
- 100% Factory Tested: Every cylinder undergoes pressure and leak testing to ensure reliability before shipment.
Typical Applications
- Construction: Backhoes, loaders, excavator attachments, and concrete equipment.
- Agriculture: Heavy harvesters, grain cart lifts, and large implement actuators.
- Industrial: Material handling, waste compactors, and heavy machinery automation.
